Professional experience
Luca joined Grant Thornton Financial Due Diligence in February 2023 as a Partner and Head of Insurance. Luca has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance sector, in areas such as regulation, risk management, corporate governance, KPI, reports, transformation, and IFRS 17 and 9.
Alongside this, Luca brings authentic client-side insurance experience through his work as Planning and Controlling Manager and Compliance Manager in one of the most important Italian insurance companies. He was the Project Manager for the merger and acquisition of an insurance company and the transformation project to create one of the top ten insurance companies in Italy, with a focus on Corporate Governance, Reporting, Planning and Control, Compliance, and regulatory relationship with the Italian insurance regulator.

- IAWG (Insurance Accounting Working Group) commission member at EFRAG (European Financial Reporting Advisory Group);
- EFRAG User Panel member;
- EFFAS (European Federation of Financial Analysts Societies) Commission Financial Reporting member;
- OIC Insurance Commission member;
- Teacher in IFRS 17 international training course developed for the SFAA (Swiss Financial Analysts Association) and AIAF (Italian Financial Analysts Association).
