From Italy to Malawi

Quest’anno la nostra azienda sta realizzando un progetto speciale di sostegno economico e sociale e di impegno simbolico con l'Africa insieme alla Comunità di Sant’Egidio che consentirà a molti bambini e alle loro famiglie una speranza concreta, di futuro educativo, di socialità e prospettiva di vita.

Sono arrivate le prime foto dal Malawi, questi sono i bambini dell’Asilo di Machinjiri fondato e gestito dalla Comunità. Grazie al progetto la struttura verrà ingrandita per ospitare un maggior numero di bambini; saranno implementati corsi di formazione per le maestre; verranno acquistati cibo, vestiario, materiali didattici e molto altro.

I bambini sorridono e ci salutano, sguardi che arrivano diretti a noi accorciando le distanze di un Paese lontano, il Malawi uno dei più poveri al mondo, tanto da non conoscere la parola Asilo. Ci piace vedere i loro sorrisi e siamo orgogliosi di far parte di questo progetto.

This year our company is implementing a special project of economic and social support as well as a symbolic commitment for Africa with the Community of Sant'Egidio. This project will provide many children and their families with a real hope for an educational future, sociality and life prospects.

Here are the first pictures from Malawi; these are the children of the Machinjiri kindergarten, which was founded and managed by the Community. Thanks to the project the structure will be enlarged to accommodate an increasing number of children; the trainings for teachers will be implemented and food, clothing and teaching material will be purchased.

Children’s smiles make us feel like their country is not so far as we think it is. Malawi is one of the poorest country in the world, and they probably don’t even know the meaning of the word “kindergarten” We are proud to see so many smiling children wearing our t-shirts "GT in the Community"!
